How do I create a contractor code?

To allow contractors access to a property through your MasterLock Bluetooth Electronic lock box, MIBOR recommends using the Individual Access function within the Vault app. This action will provide contractors the ability to access the lockbox using Bluetooth via their own Vault app/account. For Agents and their Sellers, Individual Access also provides a heightened level of security and a more thorough audit trail for specific access events.

A second option is to create a Secondary Code within the Vault app. However, this essentially turns the box into a combination lockbox and lessens the security aspects the Bluetooth functionality provides. You can provide the contractor with this code and then remove it when the job is complete. Note that you DO have to visit the lockbox and engage the Bluetooth with your Vault app to sync any Secondary Code updates.

Finally, if the homeowner has scheduled for the work, the homeowner should be giving them the access.
