How Do I locate The Version Of My Mac Or Windows Operating System?

Occasionally, a member may experience an issue within the BLC service that is unique to the version of their operating system.
Technical support may ask what type of Operating system you are using and ask if you are using the latest version of that system.  
The member can find this information by following the instructions for both Mac or PC devices below.  


For MAC users:

Use About This Mac to check the version of Mac operating system (macOS) installed on your Mac. Then find out
whether it's the latest (newest, most recent) version.

From the Apple menu  in the upper-left corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. The window that opens

might look different from the example shown here, but it always includes the macOS name and version number.
If you need to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it.

For PC Users:

To find your Windows version and edition, you can click on the windows icon in the lower left corner of 
the screen.

  

Click on System within the Windows Settings menu:



Select About at the bottom of the next screen.

   


Navigate to the Windows specifications section.  There, you will find the Edition and Version of your System.
