Prior to arriving at the showing, open the BrokerBay app to confirm the time of your showing and make sure the BrokerBay app is able to download your access credentials.
It is important to arrive at the house within the showing time window with the app open. You may only unlock a lock box using BrokerBay during the times of your approved showing. If you arrive too early or too late, your access will not be valid and the lock box will not open. Good news! If you want to schedule more time to show, simply open the app and see what is available.
After you locate the lock box on the house:
- Open the listing in the Broker Bay app and tap "Access Master Lock" button.
- Press on any button on the lock box to wake it up; it will light up when awake.
- A red circle appears in the BrokerBay app, press this button to unlock.
- The lock box door unlocks; wait to hear the click before pulling the door open.
- Remove the key from the box and unlock the door of the house before returning the key to the lock box.
- Repeat this process to retrieve the key to lock up the house, if needed.
If you cannot get the box to unlock using Bluetooth, BrokerBay also provides you with a temporary Access Code, which is good during your showing time. From the Access Lock screen, tap the View Access Code button to see the code that has been generated by BrokerBay for this specific showing. This Access Code is meant to be used in EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ONLY, when the Bluetooth is non-functioning.
If a user on BrokerBay requests to view this temporary Access Code, BrokerBay will pull that code from the Vault Enterprise system aligned with the approved showing time, and pass it back over to the BrokerBay system to display to the user. All these requests to Vault get logged under the lock access history.
Still experiencing issues? It is possible there is more than one device associated with the property. Make sure you are at the correct lockbox.
