Violations of the Showing Service and Property Access Solution can be more serious in nature as these services help increase the safety and security of real property listed in the BLC Listing Service. These violations are subject to a graduated penalty, dependent on the severity and/or habitual occurrence of the activity.
$100 (Level 1): Removal of Key from Property or Failure to return a key, Failure to place or remove a lockbox in a timely manner.
$250 (Level 2): Unauthorized use of lock box access by another BLC Subscriber (scheduling an appointment under one name and allowing access by an alternate member).
$500 (Level 3): Unauthorized use of lock box access, 1) Use of Property Access solution without permission of the Listing Broker, 2) Disclosure of property access instructions or codes by a licensee who is not a BLC Subscriber without permission of the Listing Broker.
$1000 (Level 4): Unauthorized use of lock box access by a non-licensee (ex., unaccompanied client/consumer). Additional offenses may result in suspension of services, including but not limited to Showing and Property Access solution and the BLC Listing Service platform, and will be submitted to MIBOR Realtor Association as a Code of Ethics violation.
