What is A Tax Lot?

The tax lot is a required field that indicates which lot number the property is located on.  The tax lot can be found within the legal description and is usually proceeded by the letter "L".

If the legal description is not pre-populated into the edit screen, please save the draft listing, and open the CRS (Courthouse Retrieval System) tax database from the BLC or from MIBOR Central.  The property card will include the legal description and any lot number that may be listed.

Note:  Some properties do not include a lot number.  A "0" (zero) may be used as an alternative.
