A listing may be Withdrawn from the service when a Mutual Release from Listing Contract has been executed between the sellers and the listing broker, as noted in the IAR form (Option B).
"Seller and Broker agree to withdraw the Property from the market, but understand that this does not terminate the Listing Contract.
Broker will cease to advertise and/or market the Property. If Seller decides to sell at any time before expiration of the Listing Contract or under conditions as outlined in the extension clause of the Listing Contract, the Listing Contract is still in effect and a full commission shall be due and payable in accordance with the Listing Contract. Seller shall not list the Property with another Broker during the remainder of the term of the Listing Contract."
The listing status must be updated with in the BLC Listing Service within 2 full business days of the date of the agreement to withdraw the listing.
In connectBLC, use the Listings menu to select "Edit Listing Status." Alternatively, you can edit from the View/Manage My Listings & Transactions, helpful if you do not have the BLC Listing Number on hand.
Choose the Withdrawn Status and enter the date included on the contract or the last collected signature date, whichever is latest.
